Kaylee/Senior Portraits

kaylee is a senior at leeds high school in a small alabama town...i adore photographing seniors...they have their whole lives ahead of them...and are about to step into the "real world" as adults...and boy...are they ready to do so...they are full of energy...hope...dreams... and kaylee is no exception...i have no doubt this gorgeous girl will succeed in anything she sets her mind to...

Kaylee Nicole

kaylee has a sparkling personality...and sparkling green eyes to match...

fact: it is illegal to take photographs on railroad tracks...
which kaylee and i are now aware of...oops...
we then moved on to a perfectly legal location...

kaylee's 70's inspired dress (which i loved) worked great with
the retro vibe of this location...
note...to any of our hero's in blue... who may see this...I'm sorry
i lied and said we were no where near the train cars...
i have learned my lesson and will no longer shoot fabulous photos
on the railroad tracks...
Kaylee: Thank you for such a great photo session...I wish you luck in all you do...

The Erwins

the erwin's photo session just happened to fall on what had to be the coldest day of the year...you would think that their photos would reflect just how cold it was...but they don't... because sarah and chet are the sweetest, kindest, warmest, people you could ever meet...and they truly love each other...that my friends...is what shines in a photograph...your heart and soul...photographs can express feelings...that the most beautiful words in this world cannot...i can't tell you how much the erwin's love each other but i can show you...even though it's just a tiny glimpse of their great love...

did i mention the erwin's are amazing...

chet is a true gentleman...and he loves his wife...
Sarah has impeccable style and always looks perfectly adorable...

sarah and chet: thank you so much for allowing me to photograph you...i had a blast...thank you for dinner...and for supporting my coffee habit...you two are the best...

Rylin Alexis/ 1 yr. photos

as a mother...i know how bitter/sweet 1 yr. photos of your baby can be...although you want to sleep...eat a hot meal...wear a shirt without a spit-up stain....you know... life's simple luxuries...this is a small price to pay for the joys a baby brings to your life and family...parents of 1 yr. old children walk a fine line...of wanting a more self sufficient child (freedom)...and wanting to hold on to their babies(chubby legs and cheeks, midnight cuddles, and sweet little faces)...but as the smell of baby fades from their little heads...let go of our babies we must...hang on to the memories we will...so without further ado....Rylin's 1yr. photos...who she is right now...
rylin has her daddy wrapped around her little finger...

the poor man...never had a chance...

her mom thinks she's an angel...

her mom is right...she is... in fact...an angel...

my fav...
rylin...
Amber and Darrell: thank you so much for letting me photograph Rylin...enjoy your baby!

Johnsons/a family

the johnson family is very special to me...i don't think it's a stretch to say...they are special to many of those within our church community...they are the most hospitable and loving people i have had the fortune to know...they host sunday school parties...stay with your crying child so you can go to bible study...and are a great example of how Christians should help each other...they have the best laughs...smiles...and hearts...i've only known the johnsons for a few months...but i already feel as though having them around has truly enriched my life...i have such a warm...fuzzy spot in my heart for them...they are such a great source of encouragement...warmth and kindness...not only to me but to everyone around them...I am truly honored to have photographed such a beautiful family...both inside and out...

jaci and xach...
